Directions:

In a stand up mixer add butter and crisco and cream together. Add vanilla and sugar and mix until fluffy. Add eggs 1 by one. Mix flour and baking powder and add a little at a time. Continue to mix. Once all flour is incorporated dump dough on a floured counter top and knead a bit until it comes together. Shape dough into a rectangle and cut into 3 portions. Add cocoa powder to one portion and knead well until dough turns brown. Repeat with the two other portions and add color. Once all 3 portions are colored form each into a long thick bar. Place two colors on the bottom. Add egg wash to keep them together. Brush the top with egg wash and place the last color on top. Form into a triangle. Cut in dough in slices and bake in a 360° oven for 12 minutes. If they are soft to the touch bake 3 minutes more. Do not remove cookies from cookie sheets right away or they will break. Once cool sprinkle with sugar ( optional) and done! Make 24 big Polvorones…
