Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast Roll Ups

#Directions:

1. Heat a nonstick skillet over Medium low heat. Mix eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar & honey together. Set aside.

2. Take one piece of Texas Toast and lay flat on a cutting board. With a rolling pin, flatten each piece of bread to 1/2 inch thick. Should be fairly thin. Spread 1-2 T of cream cheese mixture over one half of bread. Do not spread all over. Just one end. From the cream cheese end, roll over as shown in photo (the cream cheese mixture should seal it closed, lay flat on sealed edge to keep closed) Repeat with remaining bread.

3. Next, add butter to pan. Allow butter to melt, raise heat to Medium. Dip each piece into custard (egg/milk mixture, quickly once, do not soak) and fry until golden brown on all sides, turning every 1-2 minutes. Do not overcrowd your skillet. They are done when the surface of the roll ups are crispy browned abt 5-6 mins. Sprinkle w/powdered sugar, cinnamon or your favorite topping, warm maple syrup or honey.
